How to Boost Research with AI? A Kimi Chat Experience with Extended Conversation Memory

Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot about Kimi Chat, a homegrown large language model, touted for its impressive context memory capabilities. Intrigued, I gave it a spin on the official website (https://kimi.moonshot.cn/) and am here to share my insights with you today.

Kimi Chat offers examples on its homepage, showcasing its ability to summarize input PDF files or analyze web page links. From these examples, it’s clear that one of the key features Kimi Chat promotes is its extended conversation memory (long context). The platform claims it can handle up to 200,000 Chinese characters of input. Kimi Chat’s long-term vision is to become a large language model with enduring memory. In essence, if you engage in daily conversations, it can recall interactions from last year, even amidst countless other exchanges.
